Full or partial dentures are a tried-and-true option for restoring missing teeth. These prosthodontic pieces can make it more possible to talk and eat with self-assurance and also even renew the look of your teeth after tooth loss. Owner Dr. Joanna Claustro is experienced with full and partial removable and implant-held dentures for patients in Ashburn, VA. Single-arch dentures replace all of the teeth in the upper arch, lower arch, or both; however, partial dentures are offered when a few of the real teeth still remain in the jaw. At Joanna Claustro DMD & Associates, our staff can help you determine if detachable or implant-supported dentures are suitable for your goals and have them individually made for a nice appearance and comfortable fit. Arrange your restoration assessment with Dr. Claustro today.
What Is the Denture Process?
A member of our team will kick off the denture process by getting digital or molded impressions of the top and lower arches. These impressions will then be given to a special dental lab that will craft your unique dentures. Complete and bridge dentures use light resin, which could be reinforced by a titanium internal frame. Crafted with high-grade materials, dentures should mimic the appearance of real teeth and the gumline. Once your restorations are crafted and sent to Joanna Claustro DMD & Associates, we will ask you to check in for a fitting consultation. Dr. Claustro will alter your restorations so they are comfy or latch them to previously placed oral implants. A member of our team will also talk about the best ways to care for your customized dentures.
Joanna Claustro DMD & Associates Reviews
Dr Claustro is amazing. She’s hands down the best dentist I’ve been to. She’s conservative in her methods and applies practical guidance and education on treatments.
Dr Claustro and her team keep me coming back because of her and her awesome team. Always a great experience.
I never write reviews but I had to for this - absolutely amazing experience. Who knew a dentist could also change the way your face looks??? I have tried MANY different face treatments for melasma and aging, and I have never seen results like I did with Dr. Claustro. The Opus Plasma did wonders to diminish wrinkles and tighten my skin, with no downtime at all. I coupled my treatment with the Resurfacing treatment and just wow. Anyone that actually has melasma knows that it is never going to go away, but I have not seen anything diminish it's appearance like this and I have tried EVERYTHING. Add in the amazing staff and Dr. Claustro herself, just top notch. Run don't walk to try these treatments! You will thank me!
She and her staff were professional and very likable. I recommend that others seek her service.
One of them best Dentist that I have ever had, great staff and a wonderful office. Joanna is very skilled, knowledgeable and compassionate. She cares about her patients and is always working in your best interest.

About UsDentures FAQs
What will wearing dentures feel like?
Adjusting to wearing dentures will take some time for your mouth. In the first few days, your gums might experience some sore spots, but these should heal as you get used to the dentures. Additionally, you may notice an increase in saliva production as your mouth adapts.
What should I avoid after getting dentures?
When you first get dentures, there are some essential things to remember. Speak with your provider to determine which oral hygiene products suit your dentures. Also, steer clear of very hot water or liquids, as these can damage the denture material.
How long should I wear my dentures each day?
You can wear your dentures for most of the day. Initially, it's advised to wear them for at least 8 hours daily to help your mouth get accustomed and avoid sore spots. Remember to take your dentures out at night and when you're brushing and flossing.
